Lifting a person to a standing position can be very difficult and can put a tremendous strain on your body, yet many people do it every day. These are people who are helping a loved one or might even be a paid nurse, but in either case they are helping someone who can not stand on their own. To make this task easier a lift chair can be used, which allows many people to be able to stand independently.

A lift chair looks very similar to a recliner and offers many of the same features, but it also helps make standing and sitting easy. The chair can be raised slowly into the air. When the chair has been raised, the seat is positioned in a manner that makes it easy to transfer to a standing position or from standing to sitting. They are a great way to improve safety.

Using a lift chair is often done to improve safety, but they also improve comfort. Many quality chairs are available, which are comparable to high-end recliners, but cost much less. While they often cost less than a traditional recliner, these chairs usually offer superior comfort and quality. From a price perspective there are many times when you are almost better off buying a lift chair, even if you don’t need it.

Those who use these chairs are able to improve their safety and rely less on others to help them. In many ways, using a lift chair not only improves the chairs user’s safety, but also reduces risks that the caretaker would otherwise be taking.

To many, the thought not being able to stand or sit without assistance seems foreign and strange, but it is actually a reality faced by millions of Americans every day. Most often those who are over sixty-five find themselves in this position, but due to injury and illness, many others are also able to not easily stand. To help solve this problem, a lift chair is often used.

In a basic and primitive sense, a lift chair is a recliner, but it is really a recliner that is much different from the kinds that are usually found in many living rooms. The reason for the difference is due to the fact that the chair can be raised into the air and when it is fully raised, the occupant of the chair is able to stand or sit safely and in a manner that is very controlled.

One of the major advantages of a lift chair is that they allow a person to freely stand or sit without having to rely on someone to give them a hand. Relying on someone to help you stand can be expensive if you must pay a nurse or caretaker and if you are relying on a family member or friend, it can put them at increased risk of falling or otherwise straining their body. If you use a lift chair, you will not have to rely on a person to stand or sit and can independently retain your mobility.

Lift chairs are found in millions of homes and living rooms across the world and they have been shown to be a great way to reduce the risk of falling.

If you or a loved one can not stand without assistance, then you are probably well aware of how big of a problem this can present. To help solve this problem many people choose to use a lift chair in their living room.

A lift chair is a recliner that also helps raise a seated individual to a standing position. They also work in a reverse manner as a sitting aid, because they allow you to control the rate of decent.

Lift chairs come in several general categories. They can usually be classified as a 2-position, 3-position, or infinite-position lift chair.

2-position lift chair recliners can recline to an angle that is about 45 degrees and great for watching television. This position is often called the TV Recline position.

3-position lift chairs are able to recline much farther to a position that is almost horizontal and great for sleeping.

Infinite-Position lift chairs are able to recline to the same degree that a 3-position lift chair does, but they allow the footrest to be operated independently of the back of the chair. This allows for infinite customization of the chair.

From the name, it would be easy to think that a 2-position lift chair can only achieve 2 positions, but this would be incorrect. You can stop the backrest at any position up until you reach the chairs limit, which gives you the ability to set it to an almost unlimited number of positions.

Using a lift chair is perhaps the best way to allow an individual who has difficulty standing on their own to independently and safely stand or sit.
